IMP 3.0

Supported | User Contributions

IMP 3.0 is obsolete. IMP 3.0 has now been superceded by IMP 3.2.

Features include searching; a new, flexible preferences system; a hierarchical folder tree; user-defined client side filters; identities; and more. It makes use of a number of features of the new Horde 2.0 Application Framework.

IMP 3.0 requires PHP4. You should use it if you want to take advantage of PHP4's built-in session handling and improved speed; if you want access to features such as the interactive spell checker and folder searching; or if you want to contribute a major piece to the code. To run IMP 3.0, you may need a version of PEAR which is more recent than your version of PHP; see our PEAR page.

Important note: IMP 3.0 does not require PHPLIB, and the two may in fact conflict if they overlap. If you are still running IMP 2.2, you can configure PHPLIB to be active only for the IMP 2.2/Horde 1.2 part of your webroot.

This code branch continues the trend of 2.2 by being slimmer, cleaner, and better designed code than the previous version.
